"They've even called for the sacking of the Opera House manager who told them where to get off. Let's remind Alan that the Opera House truly does belong to everyone, by supporting Louise Herron's staunch defence of one of our city and country's few instantly recognisable heritage landmarks".

Protesters have shone torch beams on the Sydney Opera House sails to try and obscure projections of The Everest horse race.

Brisbane-based outdoor operator, Goa, has dived into the controversial debate over Racing NSW's upcoming use of the Opera House as a billboard.

Israel launched an airstrike on militants in Gaza firing burning balls
Israeli forces conduct overnight detention raids nearly on a daily basis across the West Bank, triggering clashes with residents. According to Israeli media reports, Na'alwa ordered another worker to handcuff Yehezkel to a chair before shooting her to death.

Racing NSW officials have named six potential emergencies for slot-holders for The Everest this Saturday, while they have also suspended betting on Tuesday afternoon after the barrier draw was conducted.

The original plan by Racing NSW was to hold a live barrier draw and project the results onto the Opera House facade, alongside the jockeys' colours and barrier results alongside The Everest logo.

"To avoid any perceived integrity risk, Racing NSW has determined that all betting on the 2018 The TAB Everest be suspended commencing at 12pm today (9 October 2018), until the final barriers have been publicly displayed this evening", Racing NSW said in a statement. Instead, it has faced an intense backlash.

Sydney Morning Herald columnist Peter FitzSimons also strongly vented his feelings on the matter, while The Chaser comedians managed to beam their own message onto the Opera House's famous sails in a stunt on Monday evening.

Mr Quint said the government still hadn't explained how projecting advertising onto the sails adhered to the exemptions.

‘Elevator Screamers’ Are Professional Protesters, Their Signs Paid for by Soros
It was a freaky claim, but a familiar one for many on the right, who have accused Soros of bankrolling other prominent protests. Hundreds more demonstrated outside the Supreme Court and inside the Senate Hart Office Building on Thursday.

"It is the view of the Heritage Council that the use of the Opera House for the commercial advertising of this event is completely unsatisfactory and is an inappropriate use of this significant heritage place that is valued by many around the world", he said.
