Nintendo plans to give more details about Nintendo Switch Online at an event tomorrow. This probably won't be a big deal for a most people, but if you've got multiple Nintendo Accounts linked to multiple Switch user accounts, you'll definitely want to make sure that everything is in order ahead of September 18. These will include Super Mario Bros, Ice Climbers, and the original Legend of Zelda.

While Switch Online will rid of the ability to play online multiplayer games for free, Nintendo is assuring users that not all online features will require a subscription from September.

That said, it's not all rosy: One of the biggest disappointments about the proposed online play of the Switch was that the only way to get voice chat going was apparently via the dubious Switch Online app.

The rumors were true: The postponed Nintendo Direct has been rescheduled for Thursday, 9/13 for 3 p.m. PT, 6 p.m. ET, and it will still be about 35 minutes long.
