Rudy Giuliani downplays Robert Mueller investigation: ‘Collusion is not a crime’

  • Republican Strategist: Giuliani's Collusion Claims Are All For Show

At this point, Ms Camerota reminded the presidential lawyers he had promised to talk to her "all day" about accusation of Russia's collusion into Donald Trump's victorious campaign in 2016. "You start analyzing the crime-the hacking is the crime. The President didn't hack".

His is the first trial in the Russian Federation investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, looking at whether the Trump campaign worked with Moscow to sway the results of the 2016 election.

The former New York City mayor said this morning that the president did not collude with the Russians and even if he did so, it wouldn't be a crime.

The Manafort trial: Opening statements begin
But once Mueller's Russian Federation investigation ends, Giuliani told Reuters: "He has a right to consider it". Ellis, said prosecutors rightfully "followed the money paid by pro-Russian officials" to Manafort.

Mr Giuliani said those who were allegedly present when Mr Trump learned about the meeting also deny he knew about it.

A new report out Tuesday in the New York Review of Books suggests Trump knew that there was an ongoing criminal investigation into Flynn and his interactions with Russian officials when he asked then-FBI director James Comey on February 14, 2017 to let Flynn "go".

Giuliani's on CNN saying that Mueller's "conflicts" pollute his ability to run the Trump-Russia probe-but *won't describe* Mueller's exact conflicts. "The president didn't hack", Giuliani said on CNN.

The Reds go head to head with United in MI tonight as part of their preparations for the new Premier League season. We played reasonably well with a lot of kids at the end, but when we run out of gasoline, it is goodbye.

Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 US presidential election, something commonly referred to as collusion by the media and public officials. "And now that there is substantial evidence that there were at least some contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians, maybe the sort of next line of defense is, well, maybe there was collusion, but collusion itself is not a crime". "He said, No. 1, there is no collusion, No. 2, collusion is not a crime, but even if it was a crime, there was no collusion".

The Trump team began publicly arguing this assertion since late past year. And he said that very strongly. "But there's no violation of law, statute, rule or regulation that we have seen after reviewing this case for a year, and I think Bob Mueller will come to the same conclusion".

"And if these folks don't know that collusion and conspiracy are synonyms for one another, and this is a legal strategy, then they might want to consider changing horses in this race".
