Apple has to prove to professionals and consumers alike that it cares about the Mac and that it's worth paying its premium prices.

Apple also released new leather sleeves for its MacBook lineup.

Apple has updated its MacBook Pro series with new hardware.

The new MacBook Pro models feature 8th-generation Intel Core processors and uses Apple T2 chip, first introduced in iMac Pro. With 13-inch and 15-inch variants there's something for everyone.

It packs Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics with 655MB of eDRAM. The laptops come with 256GB SSD as the starting storage option and can be configurable up to 1TB and 2TB PCIe SSD.

The new MacBook Pros also get Apple's slick True Tone technology, which adjusts color temperatures based on your surroundings to provide a more natural viewing experience on your screen. Another feature ported from iOS includes being able to invoke the "Hey, Siri" phrase to activate Siri instead of a keyboard shortcut.

The new MacBook Pro models also feature the T2 chip made by Apple for enhanced secure boots and help in encrypted storage.
