On a positive note, hospital officials say no unit is better qualified to treat these victims, after all, their teams have been through this before.

"You don't know where it is, that's the trouble", Read said of the elusive nerve agent. "It is something different, it could be on that bench.it makes me anxious".

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova urged the British government to end what she described as "intrigues and games with chemical agents", and some Russian lawmakers suggested that the poisoning could be traced to a British source.

"Russia has categorically denied and continues to categorically deny the possibility of any kind of involvement to what was happening there", President Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters Thursday.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the case as "very worrying" but said Russian Federation had no information "about what substances were used and how they were used".

However, Home Secretary Savid Javid said that while they had concluded that "the exact same nerve agent" was used in this case, authorities "cannot attribute it to the same batch at this point".

Russia, which is now hosting the soccer World Cup, has denied any involvement in the March incident and suggested the British security services had carried out that attack to stoke anti-Moscow hysteria.

Sergei and Yulia Skripal were poisoned in southwest England not far from where Sturgess and Rowley live.

The huge inquiry has yet to lead to the public identification of any suspects after a lack of CCTV in Salisbury apparently hampered efforts to track any would-be assassins.

Police said there was no evidence the latest victims had visited any of the sites linked to the Skripals, which have since been decontaminated.
