Serena Williams will be seeded No. 25 at Wimbledon after the All England Club elevated her ranking after she had a baby, but not everybody in the WTA is happy with the decision.
Williams is now ranked 183rd in the world after returning to the tour in March following the birth of her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, in September 2017.
The 36-year-old American, who has returned to competitive tennis following the birth of her daughter last September, is now ranked 183rd.
The London slam has considered factors other than world ranking in the past, and the US Open announced Saturday it wouldn't penalize female players who were returning after pregnancy in seeding them.
