The Conner family is headed back to television, albeit without the Roseanne Barr.

The new show, with a working title 'The Conners, ' will premier in fall 2018.

While Barr's absence will certainly loom large over the forthcoming spinoff, the series will not feature the embattled star, whose May tweets led to her dismissal and her famed sitcom's cancellation. As you can see.it's a pretty happy invite.

Tom Werner, executive producer of the original series and the revival, said in the statement that he was grateful to reach the deal to keep the team working "as we continue to explore stories of the Conner family". Our sources say several crew members have signed back on and are excited to return.to a fresh start.

"The spinoff will continue to portray contemporary issues that are as relevant today as they were 30 years ago", ABC said, a nod to the unusual portrayal of a blue-collar family on TV.

ABC also put out a statement about the new show, saying, "The Conners' stories demonstrate that families can always find common ground through conversation, laughter and love".
