For a while rumours have spread about Amazon and Facebook trying to get into the Football streaming business, and now those rumours are coming true because it's been announced that from 2019 Amazon will show 20 Premier League games a season for three seasons.

After Sky and BT paid £4.5BN ($6.2BN) for the majority of games earlier this year, there were two packages left with the Premier League arranging them to encourage digital bidders.

The other package of 20 matches was successful bought by BT Sport for £90 million, which takes its amount of matches to 52 per season from 2019.

Add BT Sport to your Sky TV package for £27.99 a month, plus a £20 fee, and Amazon for another £7.99 a month.

G7 leaders must not be intimidated by Trump, say Macron and Trudeau
The French president slammed USA counterpart for "unproductive" tariffs and preventing other nations from dealing with Iran. Ulrich Adam, director general of Spirits Europe, said: "The US and European Union spirits sectors are closely intertwined".

The internet streaming service will show 20 games a season from 2019/20 to 2021/22: every game from the first round of midweek fixtures in December and all 10 fixtures on Boxing Day.

After the past two domestic deals both produced 70 per cent jumps in the value of rights, the league is now experiencing a downturn and looking to generate more revenue overseas where all 380 games are available live each season.

In April, Amazon paid tens of millions of dollars for the exclusive United Kingdom rights to the US Open tennis, giving subscribers who pay £79 a year for its Prime Video service access to three of the four grand slams.

Amazon, which started as an online retailer, already broadcasts the US Open tennis, ATP World Tour Tennis events and National Football League games.

The good news for UK Prime members?

Macron calls on G7 members to confront Trump’s trade policies
Trump may not be so good at building walls but he sure is great at burning bridges - according to CNN , the U.S. Macron said the leaders don't want to put out a communiqué if "we drain it of all meaning".

The Premier League offered 200 live matches a season to broadcasters, an increase from the 168 available in 2015.

"Prime members will be able to watch every team, every game, so no matter which Premier League team you support, you're guaranteed to see them play live on Prime Video", said Jay Marine, the vice president of Prime Video in Europe.

The Premier League have confirmed that global revenue is set to be distributed based on league finish, with the ratio rising from 1.6.1 to 1.8.1.

There are still a number of overseas deals to be completed but it is expected that the Premier League will double the #3bn it received in overseas revenue from the previous three-year cycle.

It was one of two packages of domestic rights that remained unsold from an auction this year.
