Not that it will draw any gasps or come as a surprise but it's official that Google has given up on Android tablets.

As smartphones have gotten increasingly bigger and more hybrid devices have hit the market, tablets no longer pose the same appeal they once did. Also, we could see this as Google's aim towards turning the OS into a smartphone-focused one only. You can see the last version of the page in the Internet Archive.

North Korea shakes up military leadership as Trump-Kim summit nears
Yonhap reported that Kim Yong Chol had transited Beijing on Monday on his way back to Pyongyang from the United States. The US official did not identify the three military officials.

While the tablet form factor is unlikely to go away anytime soon, Android on tablets is not a paradigm likely to continue significantly longer. Naturally, this development prompted the tech press to declare Android tablets dead. It talked about hot new tablets like the Shield and Galaxy Tab S2.

However, the Tablet section is back on the official Android website and as per a report by 9to5google.com, the option disappeared due to a bug which Google has fixed now as the Tablet section is live once again on the website.

Zverev survives test of nerve in Paris
The seventh-seeded Austrian dropped his serve twice but eventually went on to beat the unseeded Berrettini 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-2. Buzarnescu, seeded 31, has capped a remarkable rise from an injury-bedeviled ranking of World number 377 just 12 months ago.

It is worth noting one important caveat: demand for tablets from Apple is declining much slower than similar devices from any other company. The last major tablet device launched by Google was Pixel C in 2015. Nevertheless, Google is not ready to give up single-purpose tablets just yet, albeit it only has three slates in its inventory. This pronouncement was complicated somewhat following a tweet by Android senior vice president, Hiroshi Lockheimer, indicating that the removal was the result of a bug that occurred during a website update. Accessing the tablet page's URL- http://www.android.com/tablets/now redirects users to the main Android website. The Korean company is the largest manufacturer of tablets on the Android operating system. In may, IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Tablet Tracker announced that there has been an 11.7% yearly decline in tablet shipments worldwide.
