  • They are considering taking the action to force NFL teams to sign Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid

NFL owners said in depositions that President Donald Trump factored into discussions on how to handle player protests in regard to the national anthem, The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

The depositions were made for a grievance filed by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who claims he has been blackballed by the league over anthem protests.

More than 200 players protested during the anthem that weekend before the number of protesters dwindled as the season progressed.

"This is a very victor for me, the stake is very high for me, would have said to the president of Jones, according to the report, which was quoted by the "Wall Street Journal"".

But eight balls into Sunday's play and having added only one more run , Buttler was lbw to Mohammad Abbas for 67. The innings ended when Amir knocked over Bess's off-stump.

"Tell everybody, you can't win this one", Trump told Jones, according to the report.

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said Trump's statement "changed the dialogue".

Eric Reid, although less implicated in any resistant movements, was the player who knelt beside Kaepernick in a September 2016 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Jones was not the only National Football League owner to address Trump's maneuverings.

Starbucks reached an undisclosed settlement with the men who were arrested, and offered them a free college education. Starbucks has already made at least one change at the corporate level, revising its guest policy earlier this month.

Kearse says he wishes other National Football League owners would be more like Johnson by supporting their players and having conversations with them. In turn, teams will be able to fine the individuals responsible for the infractions. Both McNair and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft expressed grave misgivings about Trump's anthem stance but were unwilling to defy the president.

"I do not like imposing any club-specific rules", Johnson told Newsday last week. "To take that away and be, 'Hey, don't do that anymore, ' like you're anti-American or something like people try to paint - it is very frustrating to continue to see that false narrative". I do realize they are cases where black drivers are singled out due to their color and this is wrong. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he wants all players to stand while New York Jets owner Christopher Johnson said he wanted to avoid any appearance of muzzling players.

Jones added that not all credit for the new policy should be attributed to Trump.

"I think that's good", Trump said in the interview with "Fox & Friends" that aired last Thursday. There is a big difference in kneeling out of disrespect to the flag and the United States of America and kneeling to protest police misconduct.

She said that she was shocked that it took a British news organization rather than a Seattle one to inform her about the game. The statement concluded by noting that Steam will soon have a "broader conversation" about their content policies.

A White House official did not dispute the testimony, according to the Journal.
