When Gwyneth Paltrow revealed to the world a year ago that Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her early in her career, she also mentioned how then-boyfriend Brad Pitt came to her rescue.

Paltrow said that Pitt relayed to her afterwards what he had told Weinstein.

Speaking to Howard Stern on his USA radio show yesterday, she went on to explain how Pitt reacted when she told him about the incident.

She says Weinstein then warned her to stay quiet about what had happened. "Because what he did was he leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn't have fame or power yet". At the time, Weinstein was an executive producer on the 1996 film "Emma", in which Paltrow was the lead. The actress mentioned that Pitt confronted Weinstein after learning about her story, and now she has provided the details about said encounter.
