Michelle Wolf's Routine Sets Off a Furor at an Annual Washington Dinner

  • WASHINGTON DC- APRIL 26 U.S. President Donald Trump is surrounded by the children of members of the media during Take Your Child To Work Day in the Oval Office

Former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, who attended the dinner, called Wolf's routine: "An R/X rated spectacle that started poorly and ended up in the bottom of the canyon". After one crass joke drew groans in the Washington Hilton ballroom, she laughed and said, "Yeah, shoulda done more research before you got me to do this".

Wolf, who has a Netflix series premiering next month, responded to Haberman, saying that all of her jokes about Sanders were about her "despicable behavior", not the way she looked. "But she burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a ideal smokey eye", Wolf joked about Sanders.

The controversy over the Correspondent's Dinner was not lost on Trump, who in fact blasted the media in a campaign-like speech Saturday night in MI, then took aim at Wolf from his Twitter account. Many were in the audience Saturday night, however, including counselor Kellyanne Conway, herself a target of Wolf, and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

President Donald Trump, in a characteristically free-wheeling speech Saturday night, tossed out an unspecified allegation about Montana Democratic Sen.

There are some who thought that besides Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Guice was the best tailback in the draft. There are still six more rounds to go through - with two of them getting broadcasted tonight at 7 p.m.

"Everyone is talking about the fact that the White House Correspondents Dinner was a very big, boring bust.the so-called comedian really "bombed", Trump tweeted Sunday". "You broke it." To everyone else, she said: "You helped create this monster, and now you're profiting off of him". Is it Sarah Huckabee Sanders?

She said she regretted that Ms. Wolf's monologue had overshadowed the rest of the evening, but added: "When the entertainer is a comedian - as has been the case for the last 30 years or so - they are often controversial, they are often to some extent polarizing, or provocative, and it's a night about free speech". In the age of Trump however, the dinner (like everything else) is a fun-house mirror version of its former self.

"I actually really like Sarah, I think she's very resourceful", Wolf continued.

Despite what Donald Trump and some others on the right may think, the big victor from Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner was comedian Michelle Wolf. "I'm not suggesting she gets hurt".

Diamond And Silk: Conservative Media Personalities Lied Under Oath, Per 'The Hill'
Hank Johnson (Ga.) asked why Diamond and Silk were "bashing" Facebook even after they profited from its ads. At another point in the hearing, they suggested that the FEC had made an error in its reporting .

-"Just a reminder to everyone, I'm here to make jokes, I have no agenda, I'm not trying to get anything accomplished, so everyone that's here from Congress you should feel right at home".

The annual dinner is usually full of good-natured roasts of players in the current Administration-no matter who's in charge-but this year took the burns up to the next degree.

Last year's host Hasan Minaj tweeted his support for the comedian before the dinner, and later retweeted her response to Spicer.

But a number of attendees and viewers of her performance, including high-profile journalists and politicians, criticized Wolf for her pointed comments at White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. "Donald Trump has so poisoned the atmosphere by attacking the disabled, gold star parents, Muslims, Mexicans, Blacks, women, the press, the rule of law that a comedian who simply tells the truth is offensive?"

Kanye West Freestyles About 'White Dominance' & Slavery
West went on to produce several albums for Legend, and they have various song collaborations. "That's just not fair". Right-leaning artists, however, seem to be gaining some ground in the culture wars under President Donald Trump .
