  • REPORT: Eagles CB Daryl Worley arrested near team facility

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports that Worley, who's in his first season with the Eagles, was arrested at 6 a.m. E.T. this morning.

Worley, 23, came to town as the return from Carolina in the Torrey Smith trade.

Cornerback Daryl Worley was passed out inside his vehicle at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue near the team's facility in South Philadelphia blocking the intersection, according to tweets by the NFL Network's Iam Rapoport, who cited unnamed sources. Worley was reportedly found passed out inside a vehicle for blocking a highway.

Following Sunday's arrest, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer tweeted that a Panthers source told him the team was concerned about Worley's commitment and love of "the nightlife".

"I'm glad to be coming home", Worley said in that press conference.

Other than the Michael Bennett case, the Eagles have been able to fly under the radar when it comes to legal issues this offseason.

The charge, injury to the elderly, includes "intentionally and knowingly causing bodily injury to a person 65 years or older".

An Eagles spokesman said the team is in the process of gathering information about the Sunday incident. "Me coming to Philly isn't just about winning a championship on the field".
