Kids egg-cited for Easter hunt

For many families in east Missoula this egg hunt has become a tradition, one they can't take their kids to this year.

From a Razor type scooter to a large fluffy stuffed Easter Bunny, the children who found these "Golden" eggs had a hard time choosing their reward.

"That's how we serve this community, caring for the moms and dads, single moms, single dads, and it's a great way for us to be a blessing and give back on this Easter", Young said.

Workers are Bayou Rum placed nearly two thousand eggs filled with candy, buttons, free coupons, and more across the grounds, along with several golden eggs that held the best prizes.

To ensure everyone got a treat, kids were asked to take no more than five eggs. "We had a very good time and she loved it".

The egg hunt at Ecole H.J. School was a fundraiser for the Sylvan Lake Spray Park.

Gareth Henderson, the church's outreach director, said Restored was happy to welcome not only those who attend regularly, but strangers, too.

"It's fun to watch the kids get excited and run - it's over in like 10 minutes", said Kenly's mother, Nicole.

There were six "lucky eggs" among the 1,200 others, two in each zone. Children in the 3 and under group were allowed to have their parents help them gather eggs, but the rest of the children were instructed to hunt without their parents help, according to event officials.
