The Islamic extremist group Boko Haram stormed Dapchi on February 19, abducting 111 schoolgirls.

"We were told she was on her way but she has not yet been brought", said Kachalla, who is the spokesman of the abducted schoolgirls' parents union.

Mohammed said 111 girls were taken from the school, one more than previously thought, and six remained unaccounted for.

"I am supposed to go to Dapchi today, but because I learned that that schoolgirl, Leah, may be released today, that was why to shelve my trip to the town", he said.

Northern Christians yesterday alleged that the attacks and killings by the Boko Haram insurgents and herdsmen were directed at eliminating a section of the country and persecuting Christian faithful.

Shanghai crude futures roar into action as global…
By 11:14 a.m. (0314 GMT), 3,599 lots of the most-active June contract had traded, equivalent to 3.6 million barrels of crude. China's desire to open a domestic market to trade futures has grown as the nation's crude oil imports have boomed.

But reacting, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Jimoh Moshood, in a statement on Sunday, regretted that some media reports misconstrued the statement credited to the nation's police boss partly because residents of the area anxiously awaited the safe return of the already released students.

Idris said he was misquoted by the media.

He added that the police mobile training school in Gwoza which was destroyed by the Boko Haram terroriststs is undergoing rehabilitation to become one of the best training schools in Africa and the world. He also insisted that no Boko Haram prisoner was swapped in exchange for the girls.

On Saturday, soldiers deployed in Dapchi disappeared from the town's checkpoints, raising hopes for Leah's imminent release.

"It is a sort of understanding that we don't create much security (anxiety) there".

"The town is in high spirits and full of anticipation", Goni said.

Speaking at the gathering, the member representing Gujba, Gulani, Damaturu, Tarmuwa, Yunusari and Dapchi at the House of Representatives, Bukar Goni, informed the gathering that all the students were found to be in good health condition and thanked the President, the Yobe state governor and all Nigerians for their support throughout the period of their captivity.

While some of the Chibok girls have been freed in exchange for ransom and the release of top Boko Haram commanders, a total of 112 remain in captivity.

But, a week later President Muhammadu Buhari apologised to the girls' families, saying: "This is a national disaster".
