  • Black unemployment reaches record low in Minnesota

A jobs report released Friday says Ohio's jobless rate fell to 4.5 percent in February. Nationally, total nonfarm employment was up 1.6 percent from a year ago.

Despite the state's low unemployment rate, Labor Commissioner John H. Albin said there are almost 55,000 job openings listed on the Labor Department's website.

Total non-farm employment in the county increased by 11,500 jobs, according to the state, leaving the total non-farm workforce at 1,463,700. The number of jobs in our state, increased by 14,300.

The manufacturing sector added 2,500 jobs during the month. Other gainers included leisure/hospitality (up 9,000 jobs) and construction (up 4,000). Trade, transportation and utilities was the biggest sector decline, down 3,100 jobs. Low unemployment can also be a sign of a healthy economy that should result in rising wages for workers, though wage growth has been tepid in recent years and negative in the most recent quarter. The number of unemployed has decreased by 32,000 in the past 12 months from 294,000, according to the state.

'Over 1,05000 have fled Eastern Ghouta'
Those who choose to stay on will not face prosecution, said Wael Alwan, spokesman for the Failaq al-Rahman group there. An additional 7,000 civilians and fighters are expected to evacuate Idlib Saturday morning, state news outlets report.

THE FACTS: It is true that the state's unemployment rate, as measured by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, has never been lower.

"That suggests new workers moving to the state taking jobs, as well as existing individuals who had dropped out of the labor force re-entering. Last year had the weakest job growth of any year since the end of the Great Recession".

"Illinois job growth is starting the year off with stronger momentum as average growth has picked up in early 2018", said IDES Director Jeff Mays.

California's ever-shrinking unemployment rate hit another record low in February.

Another idea was also suggested by Epic Games that should interest players even after the latest limited time game mode is gone. It's likely that those revenue numbers will grow significantly when the game is opened up to Android players as well.

The rate represents 80,865 unemployed people in the state, while almost 2.1 million are working.

Agency figures showed that the February rate was almost a percentage point below the year-ago level, when countywide unemployment stood at 5.5 percent. Over the year, Other Services are up 2,600 (+1.9 percent) jobs.

Jobs statistics come from a survey of employers.

The labor force is the sum of the numbers of employed residents and those unemployed, that is residents not working but actively seeking work in the last four weeks.

Will Uber's Crash Scare Away Investors From Self-Driving Stocks Like Tesla?
