The White House in a memo issued Friday night announced orders to ban most transgender people from serving in the USA military following president Donald Trump's controversial policy pledge that sparked outrage in 2017.

"This Trump-Pence plan categorically bans transgender people from service, with no legitimate basis", added Jennifer Levi, transgender right project director for GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders, in a statement.

Both parties need to do more on drug prices Senate approves.3 trillion spending bill, sending to Trump White House: Trump will delay steel tariffs for European Union, six countries MORE is moving ahead with his plan to ban most transgender people from serving in the military, with limited exceptions, following up on a proposal he called for last summer.

Mattis will have some leeway in implementing the policy, the memo states, as will Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen when it comes to the Coast Guard.

"Donald Trump and Mike Pence are literally wreaking havoc on the lives of our military families", said Ashley Broadway-Mack, president of the American Military Partner Association.

Toys R Us customers frustrated with lack of closing sales
However, the associated revealed that the liquidation sale set to begin March 22 is on-hold due to a pending legal decision. Toys "R" Us announced last week that it will close down or sell all its 735 stores in the U.S.

A number of federal judges have issued rulings blocking Trump's ban.

Although Trump defers to Mattis on implementing the prohibition on transgender military service, the action is moot because four trial courts and two circuit courts have determined barring transgender people from the military due to their gender identity.

Mattis had given the White House his recommendation on transgender service in February.

After several federal courts ruled President Trump's proposed full ban on transgender service members unconstitutional, the Pentagon was been tasked with providing the White House with alternate guidelines for service.

"The new policy developed through an extensive study by senior uniformed and civilian leaders, including combat veterans", she said.

Won't You Be My Neighbor brings back previous cast in the show, including Francois Clemmons, who played Officer Clemmons. His special lesson? " Love is at the root of everything-all learning, all relationships", Rogers is shown saying.

While LGBTQ advocacy groups and activists have pushed back against the new policy for its discriminatory and demeaning nature, others have criticized the policy too.

David Eastburn said given those cases, there would likely be no immediate impact on transgender service.

The Justice Department issued a statement on Friday saying it will continue to defend the Pentagon's "lawful authority to create and implement personnel policies they have determined are necessary to best defend our nation".

The White House on Friday announced a policy to ban most transgender people from serving in the U.S. military. It is unclear what the results will be of Trump's new memo. He also said that exceptions could be granted for people "who have been stable for 36 consecutive months in their biological sex prior to accession;" or had been "diagnosed with gender dysphoria" after they entered the military but did not require a change for gender.

Interestingly, the United States president's concern for "military effectiveness and lethality" has been discussed many times in the past after Trump was skewered by Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill) as a "five time draft-dodger" who refused to serve his country, to stop lecturing about military needs.

New Congressional Map Will Stay in Place
Indeed, the Pennsylvania map, full of arthritically shaped districts, was considered one of the most gerrymandered in the country. The court also found that the federal congressman similarly lacked standing to challenge the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's ruling.
