A protest involving more than 20,000 farmers of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), who are demanding a complete waiver of loans, arrived in Thane on Friday.

The farmers are expected to enter Mumbai at the Anandnagar Toll at around 10 am and will march through parts of the city till they reach Somaiyya Ground at around 9 pm.

The farmers, which have covered a distance of around 180 on foot in 6 days will be staging a protest around the Maharashtra State Assembly on Monday, during its budget session, to demand fair numeration and loan waiver.
