"The plane had hit top of the mountain before crashing 30 metres further down", the pilot of a rescue helicopter told state television.

The bodies of more than thirty victims of Sunday's deadly plane crash have been found at the crash site in a mountainous region of Iran's central Isfahan province, local officials were quoted as saying on Wednesday by Iranian media outlets.

The Aseman Airlines flight from Tehran lost contact just 50 minutes into its journey on Sunday and a representative from the airline reported that all 59 passengers and six crew members had been killed.

The Aseman Airlines ATR-72, a twin-engine turboprop used for short-distance regional flying, went down on Sunday in foggy weather.

In the photos taken by the IRGC helicopters, the logo of the crashed plane was clearly visible on the broken piece, Sharif said.
