Italian blog Mobile World has discovered a Telugu character bug in iOS 11 that can crash your messaging apps as well as your iPhone.

Mobile World also says that the bug afflicts platforms beyond iOS: watchOS and macOS apps like Notes, Safari, and the App Store all reportedly crash as soon as the infamous character shows up. The only way to regain access is by waiting for another message to appear, so you can open that one instead and try to delete the thread that contains the infected character.

A MALICIOUS "text bomb" is causing Apple devices to crash leaving users unable to access their messages. Gmail and Outlook are also affected, while Telegram and Skype are not. In such cases, the entire iOS Springboard or the software running the home screen could end up crashing. The error is caused when the default San Francisco font across Apple devices tries to render the Telugu characters, PCMag quoted Aloha Browser as saying in a tweet.

White House budget director Mick Mulvaney compared the package program to meal-delivery companies like Blue Apron . The goal of this proposal is to save more than $100 billion dollars over the next 10 years.

The bug in question essentially affects the devices when a message with Telugu characters are sent. If it doesn't restart properly and you force a reboot, your entire device may get stuck in a bootloop and require a DFU mode restore. However, reports have surfaced of late that suggest Apple is concerned about the number of issues affecting iOS.

It's already bad enough that Variety is also covering this latest mishap from the Apple iOS team.

According to Axios, Apple is transforming its original software plans for this year to focus on addressing the performance and quality issues many users have been complaining about. The bug has been spotted on the current iOS 11.2.5 version, but it is apparently fixed in the 11.3 beta update.

But you'll be using this very modern expression which begins with a vowel if hackers use the ancient Indian language to crash your iPhone: 'OMFG!'

Interestingly, Apple has not disclosed anything about existing apps which may need to update with iPhone X support and iOS 11 SDK.
