"What they are doing is reminiscent of the assassination of JM Kariuki and other political detainees who have died due to government illegal actions", said Havi.

The three were suspended after trying to live stream an event held by opposition leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday, in which he symbolically inaugurated himself as president in a direct challenge to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

It is not clears what law the government used to eject him from Kenya as the Constitution guarantees him citizenship since he is Kenyan by birth.

Campaigning lawyer Miguna Miguna was arrested on Friday in a dawn raid on his home. "They are also granted an anticipatory bail to stop police from detaining them", ruled Kimaru.

Car Slams Into Pedestrians in Shanghai
The crash triggered fear among public that it was a terror attack in the heart of the Chinese financial hub. The police said that the driver, identified as Chen, 40, was not concentrating on the road and was smoking.

He was not produced at the Milimani Law courts as earlier directed by Justice Luka Kimaru-who ordered the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to present him personally.

The Kajiado magistrate had ruled that Mr Miguna be taken before Judge Kimaru in the High Court in Nairobi before 3pm Tuesday for orders on his bail terms.

The charge sheet presented by police to a court in Kajiado County, neighbouring Nairobi, said Miguna Miguna was being charged with "being present and consenting to the administration of an oath to commit a capital offence, namely treason".

A journalist at the court in Kajiado said Miguna had appeared at Tuesday's hearing.

Daily Nation news paper reports that earlier, police fired tear gas to disperse protesters in the capital, Nairobi, demanding that the government obey a court order to allow the stations to resume broadcasting until a final ruling is made. High Court judge Luka Kimaru had ordered that the IG and DCI present the besieged lawyer in court at 9 am today.

As the Court ordered a fresh election for October, President Uhuru Kenyatta, bitterly disappointed by the judges' decision, declared with grace, "I don't agree with the decision, but I respect it".
