While custom wallpapers were previously implemented to some extent, the PS4 5.50 update allows users to import any issue they'd like to apply as the PS4 background. The Library has now been divided into two different areas: One lets you see everything purchased on your account, as normal, while the other only displays what's currently installed on the console.

This feature grants users the ability to delete old notifications by pressing the triangle or "Options" button to open a menu that allows selection of single or multiple notifications for deletion. This also shows which friends are now online. If you want to cut your kids' screen time, you can put restrictions on how long they can play or limit play time to certain hours. Sony also made tweaks to the music function, "Whenever you're listening to music on PS4, you'll be able to access certain shortcuts from the Quick Menu".
