  • Best Buy Pulling CDs From Shelves Target Shakes Things Up With New Policy Matthew Meadow

Best Buy told music labels that it will pull CDs from its shelves on July 1.

In addition, Target reportedly wants to change how it acquires CDs from major labels.

At its height Target carried upwards of 800 music titles but has whittled that down to less than 100 in most locations, the magazine reported. One music manufacturer is leaning towards saying no to this deal, according to Billboard. For example, a year ago Target moved 500,000 copies of Taylor Swift's latest, Reputation.

And there's no sense that Rachel Brand, the current No. 3 at the Justice Department, would be viewed any more favorably by Trump. The memo alleges that Rosenstein approved at least one FISA warrant of a former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.

Music consumption has mostly moved to streaming services in the past decade, as tyrants like Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and SoundCloud have dominated the game.

The spokesperson continued by saying the company was evaluating its operating model reflecting its continued investment in its Entertainment business.
