  • A cesspool of funky flu: ER nurse goes on epic rant about flu season

"Wash your stinkin hands so you don't get all your babies sick", she said in the video.

"If a team member of a softball team is sick or injured, you do not bring the entire softball team in to check on them because guess what?"

"It's unbelievable to watch how many people come through the emergency room, sneeze in their hand, and I watch no one grab the hand sanitizer that's only every three feet in the ER", she said. In part of the video, she says "there is a cesspool of funky flu at the ER right now". "Please don't bring your team in".

"Please don't bring your healthy children, especially your newborn babies, into the emergency room", says Lockler in the video, which has been shared more than 53,000 times since Saturday. "And if you don't have what I would call a true emergency, this would not be the time to come to the emergency room".

But Katherine insists she didn't mean to undermine anyone's intelligence, she just wanted people to understand how they can take the correct precautions to get themselves disinfected.

No Charges for Victim's Father Who Lunged At Larry Nassar In Court
A statement from Morgan Margraves, his third daughter, was read at Nassar's sentencing in neighboring Ingham County last month. Later Margraves and his attorney were brought back in the courtroom so Judge Cunningham could address the contempt of court.

That was last weekend and the video has since gone viral, racking up over 5.2 million views. Her reasoning? If you go in there for one ailment, you'll probably catch another, namely the flu.

It continues, "Please sign this petition if you support ER Nurses and staff and the spreading of education during this terrible flu season". "It's awesome to watch how many people come through the emergency room, sneeze in their hands and - I watch - no one grabs the hand sanitizer".

Oh, and she also has a message for everyone yelling at her about the long wait in the emergency room these days: "If you ain't dying now, you're going to have to wait a little bit longer", she says.

"If you're not aware of how the flu is spread, the only way you can get it is through your eyes, your nose or your mouth", said Lockler, from Milton, Florida.

And the message is indeed right on the money, especially this flu season.

Turkey takes slow but firm steps in Afrin to avoid civilian casualties
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group, confirmed that 68 civilians, including 21 children, have been killed in Afrin in the Turkish operation .

In the almost seven-minute video, she also discusses easy flu prevention methods.

"Right now, we have up to 25 to 30 patients sitting for hours in the emergency room waiting room", Lockler said in the video.

Katherine Lockler has worked as a nurse for 10 years.

Lockler told Pensacola News Journal in a phone interview Wednesday that she has personally witnessed some of the carelessness.

Slightly losing her patience as she described the current situation in a hospital emergency room she said: "Here are some ideas on how to treat the flu at home". It may not have been her intention, but she is thrilled that her important message is getting out. The illness is widespread in 48 states and has killed more than 50 children.
