The Washington Wizards' season has taken a turn for the worst as All-Star G John Wall is slated to have knee surgery today that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks.

Oklahoma City will now have a day off, before meeting the Denver Nuggets in Denver on Friday.

WASHINGTON (AP) - This time, even without John Wall, the Washington Wizards managed to slow down Russell Westbrook, holding him to 13 points and ending his Oklahoma City Thunder's eight-game winning streak.

The loss saw the Thunder miss a great opportunity to move into the fourth seed in the Western Conference for the first time this season.

One attacker arrested amid ongoing gunfire in Kabul
He says that Pakistan has shown previously that when they are criticised internationally it has reacted by means of the Taliban. Two were killed in a gun battle with troops, two others detonated their suicide vests and one was arrested by troops.

"We can't panic about it", Satoransky said of Wall's diagnosis prior to tipoff, according to NBC Sports Washington's Chase Hughes.

John Wall has been dealing with discomfort in his knee for much of the season, and the star point guard is reportedly planning to have the issue addressed. With the scores tied at 96, Thunder forward Josh Huestis tried to find Adams in the paint but the pass was intercepted.

It wasn't until the final 40 seconds that the match was won.

Love went down the tunnel toward the locker room during the first quarter.

United Kingdom to 'maintain continuity' with European Union rules
Asked if that increased the risks of no-deal Brexit, the diplomat said yes, "in particular given the ticking clock". He said the chancellor's remarks had "overshadowed" his main point that May wants a deep trade deal with the EU.

Neither team shot particularly well: The Wizards wound up making 38.2 percent of their field-goal attempts - they missed 13 consecutive 3-point tries in one stretch - and the Thunder were at 37.5 percent.

Donovan had this to say about Beal, who played for him in college at Florida: "I always say this about Brad: He's got the "it" factor". The Wizards had 12. At the remarkably young age of 24, Beal is beginning to command the respect of a number one option in the National Basketball Association.

So while the Wizards face a long road ahead sans Wall, Tuesday night proved they have the foundational pieces necessary to keep churning out wins if they can clamp down on defense and dot the arc with their legion of shooters. "It's really important for him".

Wizards: Host Toronto on Thursday.
