  • Consoles power up Nintendo like nothing else

So far, it seems like the Switch games list has held up to closer fan scrutiny, with Nintendo's strategy of releasing major titles every few months in 2017, paying off.

Overall Nintendo has had an exceptional quarter and, indeed, year since the Switch was launched. If you add that to the 2.5 million consoles sold in March (which would be in Q4 FY 2016), the Nintendo Switch has reached the lofty target of 14.86 million consoles in the 10 months since its launch.

3DS continues to show legs as well with 3 million being sold in the quarter to bring life time sales to an nearly under the radar whopping 71.99 million. Super Mario Odyssey is one of the best selling games on Switch, around 9.07 million copies are sold it is release in past year.

Top GOP leader rejects need for Congress to protect special counsel Mueller
President Trump , NBC News reports , "has adopted a two-track strategy to deal with the Mueller investigation". In December, Collins had said she did not see the need for such legislation.

The console has confounded experts with its success despite lacking the power of Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4, and despite its inability to stream movies or browse the web.

When the Switch was released in spring 2017, there were questions about if Nintendo would be able to survive as a console maker. This means that the Switch has, in under ten months, exceeded the Wii U's lifetime sales by over a million. And the increased forecast on Wednesday shows management expects better-than-expected sales. During that time, it sold a grand total of 13.56 million units.

Nintendo's financials are looking pretty spritely right now.

An all-party meeting has also been convened by the government tomorrow to know about the views of top leaders on pertinent issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of various parties attended the dinner at Parliament House Library.

The Switch, which can be played both at home and on the move, blends Nintendo's console and handheld device business with its fledgling mobile gaming strategy, which scored a big brand win with Pokemon Go's success in the summer of 2016.

Nintendo's latest accessory for the Switch is a collection of foldable cardboard sheets that turn the console into a piano, robot or fishing rod.

Though the Nintendo 3DS is long in the tooth, it still sold 5.86 million units during the holidays. The Wii U was released in 2012, and from that time to when production ended a year ago, Nintendo sold just 13.56 million units.

The Grand Strand could see a partial lunar eclipse this week
These lunar events are not uncommon to see on their own, but it is extremely rare to see all three events take place together. This position is called perigee and simply means that the moon is in the part of its orbit that puts it closest to Earth.
