He's baaaaaaaack. Mike Fisher, the husband of music superstar Carrie Underwood, has chose to come out of retirement and rejoin the NHL's Nashville Predators! A few days ago, Fisher finally made official what wife Carrie Underwood has been urging him to do - come back for one last run and a chance to actually hoist that Stanley Cup.

Fisher announced his retirement on August 3, just short of two months after the Predators lost the Stanley Cup Final in six games to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Predators shared the happy news on Twitter, writing, "SEE YOU AGAIN".

Mike Fisher insists he never thought of returning to the National Hockey League and that watching players come out of retirement always bugged him. But I know it just got stronger.

Nintendo Change overtakes the Wii U
The Wii U was released in 2012, and from that time to when production ended a year ago , Nintendo sold just 13.56 million units. When the Switch was released in spring 2017, there were questions about if Nintendo would be able to survive as a console maker.

Fisher: "I watched the team a lot this year..." Fisher, 37, and the Predators lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2017 Stanley Cup finals, four games to two, in June.

"Captain @mfisher1212 I sure am going to miss watching you play and cheering you on with the rest of Smashville, but I so look forward to seeing what God has in store for you in this next chapter of your life", she explained.

Fisher hit the ice at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday morning - the "first step", according to the Predators, in getting him back on the team.

And make no mistake, there is no doubt that Fisher will be in shape at some point before the February 26 deadline. Fisher had 18 goals and 24 assists last season as Nashville earned its first Western Conference title.

Facebook urged to shut down chat platform made for kids
The letter is signed by a range of child welfare groups, chief among them the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood. Saying "Messenger Kids is not responding to a need - it is creating one".

The return of Fisher bolsters the Predators' already strong group of centers - including Ryan Johansen, Kyle Turris and Nick Bonino, who was signed to replace Fisher in the offseason.

"I just thought about the opportunity, how good this team is", he said. The veteran player intends to begin skating and training on his own before joining the gold team for practices. Last season, Fisher led the Predators in hits and was second among forwards in blocks.

Defenseman P.K. Subban said he is excited to have Fisher back after welcoming the defenseman into the locker room after being traded to Nashville.
