  • To Catch A Predator: How The Nassar Story Broke And What Happens Next At MSU

The Buffalo native is also an alumna of Michigan State University and former patient of Larry Nassar.

In her impact statement, Lemke said Geddert deserved to sit behind bars with Nassar.

Over the last few weeks, while Larry Nassar awaited sentencing, pressure has mounted against Lou Anna K. Simon.

"It's so hard to put into words how everything feels", Raisman said.

Almost 160 of his victims have come forward with accusations against Nassar, who served the organization until 2016, saying that he assaulted them under the guise of medical treatment.

Inside Edition spoke to Lemke and her mom, Christy and they say Coach Geddert is trying to silence her.

Oceanic plastic trash conveys disease to coral reefs
Coral reefs are under assault by a growing threat: tons of floating plastic dumped into oceans by humans. A 2017 study found that 83% of tap water samples taken around the world contained plastic pollutants.

Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison yesterday after a sentencing hearing in which the judge allowed all of the women accusing Nassar of sexual abuse to address him directly.

"We're not done yet".

"We have to get to the bottom of how this disaster happened".

Then, Friday night, USA Gymnastics released a one-sentence statement that clearly stated that "USA Gymnastics will comply with the USOC requirements".

Raisman also calls out the USAG's complicity in Nassar's abuse. According to media reports, USA Gymnastics got word of Nassar's misconduct as early as 2015, but didn't bring the information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation until weeks later, after at least three athletes had come forward.

What's more, there will be an independent investigation to determine who knew about the various complaints against Nassar and didn't take the necessary steps.

We have set very high standards - winning three trophies in one season - but those are the standards I expect my teams to aim for. I have seen him be successful in every country, with every manager in every position.

The statement continued, "Our commitment is uncompromising, and we hope everything we do makes this very clear".

The announcement came one day after the head of the Olympic committee threatened in an email to decertify USA Gymnastics - the sport's national governing body - if its entire board of more than 20 people did not resign by Wednesday. It can not ever happen again - there or anywhere.

"We understand that the requirements imposed by the letter will help us enhance our ability to build a culture of empowerment throughout the organization, with an increased focus on athlete safety and well-being".

Others, however, praised Aquilina for her handling of the situation and for her comments toward the victims in the case. "But in the end, I knew I had to report it", she said.

"Because I care", Mr Hollis said, holding back tears.

"He kind of just looked blank". "The media convinced them that everything I did was wrong and bad".
