  • Twitter not just for words

The design isn't finalized and no debut timing was revealed, but the feature now involves a camera-focused tool that makes it easier to post videos on Twitter. In the past, she has praised the Snapchat app calling it "very modern" and admitting that Twitter can be "confusing". The report claims that the company is developing a Snapchat-like tool to popularize video sharing on its network and bring in more users.

Twitter hasn't commented on the report and it's unclear right now if and when these changes will go live.

Trump casts doubt on Mid-East peace talks
Before leaving for Davos on Tuesday, Netanyahu stated that "it was a great honor to host Vice President Mike Pence in Israel ". Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas instead flew to Europe to meet with European Union leaders in Europe in an apparent snub.

Apparently Twitter has a working demo of the product, but the design has not been finalized.

While Snapchat app opens first to a camera, allowing users to see photo and video messages from friends with just a swipe, Twitter app users need to click the compose button, find the camera button, take the video or picture and then click on the tweet button to publish. Then, of course, Tweeters have to decide to share what they've captured or written and actually send that Tweet out into the world. The process requires several taps, and Bloomberg says the new camera product will address this by reducing the number of steps.

Since this new camera feature would come on the heels of the, it looks like Twitter is looking for more ways to enable their users to create dynamic content - a decided shift from the minimalist, text-only 140 character count capabilities of yore. By lifting the restriction on where its content is seen, Snapchat will undoubtedly appeal to more users - especially those who just want to consume content, and who may find Snapchat's UI a tad too hard to comprehend. This follows CEO Jack Dorsey's idea to make Twitter a platform for "what's happening now".

Twitter planning to update its app for iOS and Android devices to make the camera more accessible.
