  • UK parliament debates European Union Withdrawal Bill

Flagship Brexit legislation was passed through parliament, although Theresa May was warned that it could be undone by future generations, The Independent reports.

The government breathed a sigh of relief tonight as MPs approved its European Union withdrawal bill, setting the scene for a showdown over the flagship Brexit legislation in the House of Lords.

This comes after a tumultuous journey in the House of Commons, which several times placed strain upon the Government, before the bill has even been considered by the House of Lords. It is likely to return to the Commons following amendments by peers. "This is a critical piece of legislation that aims to maximise certainty for individuals and businesses after our exit".

The new legendary appears to have been teased earlier in the week when Blizzard posted a video revealing new Overwatch sprays. These new items will be available in the regular Loot Boxes and will be available as unlocks in the Hero Gallery as well.

Announcing Labour's opposition to the bill at third reading, shadow Brexit secretary Sir Keir Starmer branded it "not fit for purpose" as he repeated demands for MPs to have a meaningful vote on any divorce deal with the EU.

Brexit Secretary David Davis said the Bill, which transfers European law into United Kingdom law, is essential for "preparing the country for the historic milestone" of withdrawing from the EU.

During Wednesday's debate, Theresa May was handed a warning over Brexit by former Cabinet minister Justine Greening, who quit the Government in this month's reshuffle.

It is an independent agency, not a Palestinian institution. "There has already been a reduction of aid in recent years", she said. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said he was "very concerned" about the impact on the region.

"The bottom line is that looking ahead if Brexit doesn't work for young people in our country, in the end it will not be sustainable".

But the move was defeated by the government, by 322 votes to 99.

Amendment 59, which was supported by Liberal Democrat, Plaid Cymru and Green MPs, sought confirmation of continued membership of the single market and customs union before ministers could implement any withdrawal agreement. The bill has cleared its final hurdle in the Commons and will now head to the Lords.
