  • Iran threatens to ramp up enrichment beyond pre-nuke deal pace

Britain, France and Germany called on Donald Trump on Thursday to uphold a pact curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions on the eve of a sanctions ruling by the US president they fear could torpedo an accord he has relentlessly criticised.

"We see no particular reason to disengage in any way from this agreement, as Iran has been seen to respect all the provisions of this agreement", he said, striking a chord with his German and British counterparts, Sigmar Gabriel and Boris Johnson.

American analysts who have followed the nuclear agreement's path said Iran's escalating warnings to the United States were partly aimed at the other parties to the agreement - Britain, China, France, Germany and Russian Federation - in the hope that they would convince Mr. Trump that an American pullout could cause enormous harm.

President Trump has until Friday to sign a waiver that would block the renewal of US sanctions on Iranian oil.

Zarif noted in a tweet the "strong consensus in Brussels" that Tehran is respecting its obligations and that "Iran's continued compliance (is) conditioned on full compliance by the U.S".

Deal opponents say the nuclear deal freed up cash that the Iranian regime is now using to fund its military adventurism - and to repress protests.

Health care providers urge Congress to reauthorize CHIP funding
Housed in the Department of Health, the group would focus on issues such as increasing efficiencies in the KidCare program. Some states could see their financial resources run dry for children's health insurance coverage by the end of this month.

"It is also necessary that our USA allies do the same and should be seen doing the same", Le Drian said after meeting with his Iranian, British, German and French counterparts.

The agreement requires Iran to curb nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief, according to RFE/RL.

Javadanfan said that even if the USA imposes sanctions, "it's not at all certain that Iran will re-start its nuclear enrichment program because they won't want to lose European trading partners".

"We want to speak with Iran about its role in the region, which is more than problematic", he added, referring to the role Iran has played fueling conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

He accused Iran of "not living up to the spirit" of the nuclear agreement even though the International Atomic Energy Agency says Tehran is in fact in compliance.

The JCPOA, enacted in 2015 by Iran, the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany, allowed the lifting of worldwide sanctions on Iran in exchange for compliance with restrictions on its nuclear program.

Mr. Trump's renewal of the waivers will likely be accompanied by new, targeted sanctions on Iranian businesses and people, the wire service reported.

President Trump must certify that Iran is complying with the deal by that deadline to keep it viable.

"It's absolutely true that the protests in Iran are affecting the calculus over the decision to waive sanctions on Tehran", said Taleblu.

He went on to add, "Salehi told Amano that under such conditions, the Agency should be prepared for decreased cooperation from Iran if the U.S. government violates the nuclear deal".

But this will be the first time the president is faced with the decision since announcing his new Iran strategy in dramatic fashion last October - when he threatened to terminate the deal unless Congress made some "fixes". President Trump would be foolish to create another in the Middle East.

European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said the unity of the global community was essential to preserving the Iran nuclear agreement.
