  • Barkley to have Chelsea medical today

Chelsea are increasingly expected to complete the January signing of Everton midfielder Ross Barkley following multiple reports of a £15m bid made by the reigning Premier League champions on Thursday night.

Barkley was said to be on the verge of joining the champions in the previous transfer window, but opted against a move on Deadline Day.

But I firmly believe, if Barkley puts in the work, he will become one of Chelsea and England's brightest stars.

Lalu Yadav's Sentence Will Not Impact RJD's Ties With Us: Congress
Meanwhile, Lalu's son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the trial court's decision will be challenged in the high court . The court had, however, acquitted six others including former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra in the case.

'I'm overwhelmed, I'm looking forward to it and I'm really excited to get started, ' Barkley told his new club's official website.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia added: 'Ross is a player we have long admired and are certain he will prove to be an important player for Chelsea. He's very strong physically, good technique. But that's not the case anymore, with Spurs apparently wanting to wait until the end of the season to sign him for free, while Chelsea ready to spend money now.

Barkley, who is out of contract at Everton at the end of the season, famously had the chance to join Chelsea in the summer in a £35m deal. I think that this could be positive because English players understand this league because they grow up in this league. Ross Barkley is a Chelsea player, good luck to him. I'm back in training, I'm doing everything as normal and I'm very close to being ready to play games.

This is not necessarily a bad thing for Tottenham, however, what with Barkley's less than impressive injury record, and his inconsistent form over the past couple of years.

'We must have great patience. He turned the opportunity down, though, choosing to focus on his recovery from a long-term hamstring injury instead.

Eden Hazard, who was likely to be rested anyway, is a doubt after being kicked on the calf in Wednesday's draw at Arsenal.
