Freezing rain, sleet possible late Sunday

Temperatures aren't expected to drop following the rain on Sunday and Monday.

Weather forecasters warned the extreme cold weather will spare no one from New England to the Midwest and down to North and SC and northern Florida, breaking daily temperature records as temperatures across the northeastern USA were expected to be 20 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit below average.

Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to weather conditions and avoid driving during freezing rain.
