PM Modi lauds CM Adityanath for breaking 'Noida jinx' post his visit

PM Modi inaugurated the Delhi Metro's Magenta line connecting south Delhi and Noida.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has stated that trains on the Magenta Line will have Wi-Fi connectivity for seamless internet browsing.

At the outset, he conveyed his greetings on the occasion of Christmas, saying the country today marks the birthdays of two Bharat Ratnas, one is Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya and the second, Atal Ji.

Pak tightens security ahead of Jadhav's meeting with family

Addressing a public meeting, Modi said by 2022, when India celebrates its 75 years of Independence, he wants to cut down on imported petroleum products. In order to achieve this, he added, state-of-the-art mass transit systems are the need of the hour.

The Prime Minister asserted that governance can not happen when the dominant thought process begins at "Mera Kya" and ends at 'Mujhe Kya.' He said that these mindsets are now being changed. "For us, decisions are about national interest and not political gains", he said.

He said, "When I became CM, people told me of a few places where no CMs went because they were inauspicious".

"I ignored this and visited all such places", Modi said and pointing that he remained Gujarat CM for almost 20 years. "Faith is important but blind faith is not desirable".

Prime Minister Modi, along with Adityanath, also travelled on a patch of the new route - from Noida to the Okhla Bird Sanctuary station.
