President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump deliver their 2017 Christmas message to America and the world.

In a Christmas Eve call to USA troops overseas, President Trump said the nation is saying Merry Christmas "very proudly".

The calls took place at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on Sunday, where Mr. and Mrs. Trump fielded questions from children dialing into NORAD's phone line looking to see where Santa was on his journey.

Military families, Trump said, are "always underappreciated" and "the greatest people on earth".

Eric Schmidt to step down as executive chairman of Google's parent company
He was Google's CEO for ten years until 2011, and the chairman of the board from 2001 to 2004, and later from 2007 to 2001. In 2015, Google restructured to become Alphabet and Schmidt assumed the same role at the newly named parent company.

At one point, the president thanked sailors aboard the USS Sampson for setting a "new standard" for readiness.

"Every American heart is thankful to you and we're asking God to watch over you and to watch over your families", he told Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard members via video hook-up from his estate and private club in Palm Beach, where he is spending the holidays with his family.

Later Sunday, the president and first lady Melania Trump fielded calls from children eager to know how soon Santa Claus would get to their homes.

Trump and other conservatives, in past holiday seasons, have slammed political correctness - and Democrats - for saying "Happy Holidays" and not Merry Christmas, arguing the difference was part of a "War on Christmas". Another, from Virginia, was heard telling the president he wanted building blocks.

South Florida's most impactful player is quarterback Quinton Flowers , who can make plays in the air and on the ground. Facing fourth and three, the Red Raiders chose to go for it, but Shimonek was sacked by Senat for a loss of 10 yards.

Trump told a caller from MS that the state is "great" and predicted that "Santa is going to treat you very well".

"We say Christmas again very proudly", Trump said from the living room of Mar-a-Lago.

Trump's teleconference, where the President touted the military and their families, continues a tradition set by past presidents.
