The UN Security Council unanimously adopted fresh sanctions against North Korea on Friday in response to the country's launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile last month.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says his country has emerged to pose a real nuclear threat to the United States, according to the North's official Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) on Friday.

The resolution seeks to ban almost 90 percent of refined petroleum product exports to North Korea by capping them at 500,000 barrels a year and, in what diplomats said was a last-minute change, demands the repatriation of North Koreans working overseas within 24 months, instead of 12 months as first proposed.

The sanctions proposed by the U.S. include capping exports of kerosene, gasoline and other refined petroleum products to North Korea at 500,000 barrels a year from January.

The Caledonia Police Department is seeking a woman who allegedly stole a Salvation Army red kettle from an area pharmacy. Last year, The Salvation Army provided over 2.4 million meals and helped almost half a million MA residents in need.

North Korea regularly threatens to destroy South Korea, the United States and Japan, and says its weapons programs are necessary to counter US aggression.

The proposal would limit crude oil imports to 4 million barrels per year. The measure also prohibits insurance for all North Korean-affiliated vessels.

They will be subjected to a global visa ban and assets freeze.

"Maximum firmness today is our best antidote to the risk of war", he said.

Klopp says Liverpool must keep defensive recovery going at Arsenal
But he is ready to return on Friday as Arsenal look to avenge the embarrassing 4-0 loss at Anfield in August, increasing Wenger's tactical possibilities.

North Korea has repeatedly defied Security Council resolutions to halt its nuclear weapons and missile testing.

Hailing the unity of the Security Council vote and referring to leader Kim Jong Un, Haley said that, "we will continue to match the Kim regime's choice of aggressive action with actions of worldwide sanctions".

It requires countries using North Korean laborers to send them back home within 12 months.

Speaking in The Hague, Guterres said the "unity of the council is necessary to create an opportunity for diplomatic engagement for the de-nuclearization to be achieved through peaceful means". Japan holds the presidency of the Security Council this month. And it bans all countries from exporting industrial equipment, machinery, transportation vehicles and industrial metals to the country.

A Bright Start for CME Futures
But two days later Cboe Global Markets said it was launching its own futures contract on December 10, a week before CME. The website's Bitcoin Price Index had it priced at $19,400 at the time CME launched the contracts.
