It comes after Britain saw its coldest night of the year so far on Monday night, with temperatures plummeting as low as -13C near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. But still it's another chilly day, with winds from the northwest gusting near 30 miles per hour, keeping wind chills mainly in the upper 20s to low 30s under partly sunny skies.

Another storm system coming in from the west will bring clouds back tomorrow. Expect a breezy day, with increasing clouds.

The freezing temperatures appear to sweep across Britain on Friday and hold strong until Sunday afternoon.
