Ben Duckett was dropped from Saturday's tour game after pouring a drink over England bowler James Anderson in a Perth bar.

The 23-year-old was due to feature in the England XI side that takes on a Cricket Australia XI on Saturday in a two-day warm-up match ahead of next week's third Test, but his name was left out of the side that was named for the encounter and the European Central Bank soon confirmed that an internal investigation led to his omission. In between the two controversies, England have lost two Tests to put themselves under serious presure to regain the Ashes.

That measure was taken in response to reports of Jonny Bairstow's "headbutt" greeting for Cameron Bancroft - a playful prank from the Yorkshireman, also in a Perth bar on the first night of England's tour back in October.

It is believed Duckett was with members of the Lions and full Test squad during Thursday's night out.

After things calmed down, the oldest of the clan explained that she didn't want her relationship to be featured on the show. But, we've got to wonder: Is there a memoir in her future?

"I'm not sure exactly what more I can say".

In the case of Duckett, this early hours incident took place just two days out from playing his first match for the senior England side since the tours of Bangladesh and India last winter.

While such an incident might have been laughed off - or even brushed under the carpet - a generation or two ago (perhaps even six months ago) it is likely to be viewed extremely dimly in the current climate.

Ben Stokes remains suspended by the European Central Bank until the outcome of a police investigation into his involvement in an altercation earlier this year. The investigation is being led by Andy Flower, the Lions coach, and Trevor Bayliss, the England coach, and would possibly push them towards a curfew being imposed as the incident has occured on the first day after the relaxation.

Israel says it destroys Hamas tunnel using new techniques
The military wing of the Hamas terror group on Sunday threatened to avenge the deaths of two of its fighters in retaliatory Israeli airstrikes.

It was the first evening after European Central Bank director of cricket Andrew Strauss agreed to a relaxing of the curfew slapped on the Test squad a fortnight ago. "Everyone's been warned that even small things can be blown out of all proportion and the European Central Bank have also been quite strict to the boys with their message, so it's quite simply unacceptable".

But the batsman, who has played four Tests and three ODIs, was out drinking on Thursday night.

"Most people like going out and having a couple of quiet ones but we have got to be careful that we don't do anything stupid".

Stokes may yet be brought into the England side at some point in the series.

Substitute teacher barricaded door with couch to protect kids during deadly shooting
Hill heard the shots and followed Atchison, screaming at him and at teachers that there was an active shooter on site. Atchison fired some shots at students hiding in a supply closet, but no one else was injured.

The behaviour of players has come under scrutiny after all-rounder Ben Stokes was left out of the tour after he and team mate Alex Hales were arrested following an altercation outside a Bristol nightclub in September.
