Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr doesn't expect Kansas City's defense to change much without suspended cornerback Marcus Peters.

Still, Carr said Peters missing the game does not "dramatically" alter what the Raiders aim to do at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, when two of the three 6-6 teams tied for first place in the AFC West meet. Now the Chiefs will have to rely on a rotation of underwhelming cornerbacks like Kenneth Acker, Phillip Gaines, Terrance Mitchell and Steven Nelson to do the job Peters would normally do as well as man the station opposite him on the outside. Chiefs have forced one turnover in last four games. Consequently he also left the field under the pretense that he'd been ejected, and even when that wasn't true, he returned without socks, which the lack of a proper uniform kept him from even returning to the field. Alex Smith threw for just 181 yards in that loss, while a ground game that was churning out 100-yard performances early in the season was held to 55.

Suspending Peters for this game could send a message that it's time for him to tone things down. The university dismissed Peters from the team later in the season due to disciplinary issues. It just depends how they roll the coverages and do those kind of things.

Dead, Including Students, in New Mexico School Shooting
The school is located in the Four Corners region and is near the Navajo Nation , about 180 miles north of Albuquerque. Christesen said the shooter also died, but it is unknown whether the suspect was among the three confirmed deaths.

Peters earned his coach's ire last season after punting a football into the stands on two separate occasions.

"Nobody likes to lose and when you have a lost a few in a row sometimes amusing things happen", Smith said. "Coach made the decision though and we're going to to go with it. Stakes are too big right now with what we've got in front of us, the opportunity in front of us". The two teams meet again this week, with Peters on the sideline.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio remains hopeful that Cooper will play, but he'd have to get ramped up in a hurry to do so. We have a good locker room; we have a mature locker room.

What's New this Flu Season?
There are also concerns that this year's flu shot may not be all that effective in preventing the respiratory illness. Flu Facts for Seniors People over the age of 65 have an even greater chance of experiencing flu complications.

One player that has really come on of late for the Raiders have been defensive end Denico Autry. When a piece goes down, you have to figure it out and work as a team.

Smith believes that the team stands ready to move on this week against the Raiders without Peters. There are a lot of guys that people don't know about in this league that will guess on routes and things like that. "I think they understand it". To go back and forth on all this stuff on this point is pointless.
