Carol Isaak of Newport started volunteering with UGMTC four years ago. "The reality is in our community we have some families that don't have access to a traditional Thanksgiving meal", said Ron Crozier with Twin City Mission. Those searching for a hand up Thanksgiving Day won't only leave with a belly full of turkey, but with clothes.

Everything served at the meal was donated by area individuals and groups, or bought with cash donations. Past year they served more than 600 plates. "I want to give them - let people know, there is hope out there", volunteer Robert said. So far, there's 30 big pies and 39 turkeys.

"I just really like helping out people and it just makes me feel really good", she said.

Over 200 volunteers helped feed over 1500 families.
