What's more, spirit drinkers were also the most likely to feel confident (59%), energised (58%) or sexy (42%).

"Unfortunately, while looking for positive outcomes, heavier drinkers are also much more likely to report those aggressive, tearful and restless outcomes as well", he noted.

All drinkers in the survey had imbibed a full range of alcoholic beverages - spirits, beer, red and white wine - within the previous year.

Their answers showed that they attributed different emotions - energised, relaxed, sexy, confident and exhausted, aggressive, ill, restless, and tearful - to different types of alcohol.

I got the sense Cuomo was struggling to keep a straight face at times as they sparred, repeatedly talking over one another. The trio isn't allowed to suit up, be on the bench for home games or travel with the team.

About half of those who drink red wine and beer said it makes them feel relaxed and mellow, results from the Global Drug Survey show. They may also be consumed in different social occasions so people may be drinking them deliberately to feel the drunken effect quickly while other types of drink are more likely to be consumed slowly or with food. The journal points out that: "Respondents' level of alcohol dependency was strongly associated with feeling all emotions, with the likelihood of aggression being significantly higher in possible dependent versus low risk drinkers".

Spirits were also the type of alcohol most likely to bring on tearfulness among drinkers when compared to red wine, white wine and beer drinking, according to data from the Global Drug Survey, an online questionnaire provided in 11 languages. Factors including where alcohol is consumed were considered as important factors.

To relax, 53 per cent of young adults would pour themselves a glass of wine, with beer the next choice at around 50 per cent.

Confidence and sexiness make up the middle ground here; 27.88 percent reported feeling confident and 25.20 percent reported feeling sexy.

The Best Celebrity Instagrams from the 2017 American Music Awards
The American Music Awards are finally here, and you're not the only one excited for the night of glamour and musical delights. Social media fell in love with his dance moves and his adorable speech at the end.

For example, almost one-third of hard liquor imbibers said they were more likely to feel aggressive after a shot or two, compared with 2.5 percent of red wine drinkers and just under 7 percent of beer drinkers, the findings showed. A study into drink and emotions included more than 30,000 people. Their observations, the scientists published in the edition of BMJ Open. The researchers found that people felt most confident and sexy after drinking hard alcohol like vodka, gin, and whiskey. "The UK chief medical officers' guideline for both men and women states that in order to keep health risks from alcohol to a low level it is safest not to be drinking more than 14 units a week on a regular basis".

It also suggested that the likelihood of a person feeling aggressive after drinking was increased among people who had a higher dependancy on alcohol. Just 20 per cent felt so.

Krakower, though, doesn't think that will help folks who are dependent on alcohol. Although these are part of the difference in taste between drinks, little consideration has been given to what other affects they may have on the drinker. "Emotions experienced could also be related to when the alcohol is drunk, the levels of alcohol within each beverage type and the different compounds found in different drinks".
