  • Mother of Dead Richardson Toddler Arrested for Child Endangerment

The mother of a girl who was adopted from India and found dead last month in suburban Dallas has been charged with child abandonment after police allege that she left the 3-year-old home alone.

Sini's husband, Wesley, remains in police custody on an injury to a child charge.

Sherin's body was found in a culvert near her home in Richardson County on October 22.

In Wesley's initial interview with police in the days after Sherin's disappearance, Wesley had said he put Sherin outside as punishment for not drinking her milk. Later, in the garage, Wesley Mathews said was still trying to get his daughter to drink milk and she wouldn't listen, so he "physically assisted" her.

The sheer size of the deal has caught many in the aviation industry by surprise. The Airshow was marked by game-changing deals from start to finish.

An official statement by Richardson PD says charges were brought when investigators found evidence that on Friday, October 6 - the night of Sherin's disappearance - Sini and Wesley Mathews left the 3-year-old home alone while they took their other daughter out to dinner. He says he told Sini to come with him, and she voluntarily went to dinner with him, knowing Sherin would be left alone.

In a statement, attorney Mitch Nolte confirmed that he escorted Sini Mathews to the police department but didn't comment on the case against her.

Detectives are waiting on the results of Sherin's autopsy, which should provide more clues about the circumstances surrounding her death.

The cause of death of Sherin Mathews is still unknown.

Sini Mathews' bond has been set for $250,000. He's a Dallas native and a graduate of the University of North Texas. According to police documents, he said she started choking, "coughing and her breathing slowed".

Reports stated Kumari had also previously claimed Sherin used to eat whatever was given to her and never had any issues while drinking her milk and although she had a problem with one eye, she was otherwise in a good health when she was adopted. Specialists found her body in an adjacent course over two weeks after the fact. "It's not necessarily related to her death, it's related to her care that she was being given while she was in that home". He remains in the Richardson City Jail on a $1 million bond.

The child began to choke and a short time later she died, the father told police.

Sini Mathews was in court as recently as Monday asking for custody of the couple's child to be returned to her, but that hearing was rescheduled 1 p.m. November 29.
