Blatter, the ousted head of the global soccer governing body, is the latest prominent man to be accused of sexual misconduct after US women's soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo accused him of assaulting her at FIFA's Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in 2013.

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has found himself in a new scandal.

"I've seen it in sports", she went on.

She captioned the post:"For the past few days, I have been thinking about all the uncomfortable situations myself and/or my team-mates have experienced throughout the years with trainers, doctors, coaches, executives and even team-mates. I don't know why more players don't speak out". "Can-I-talk-about-that-" target="_blank">told media outlet "Expresso" that Blatter grabbed her rear at an awards ceremony.

Solo also said in her interview with Expresso that she is not surprised by the multitude of sexual assault allegations that women have been stepping forward with recently. Solo claims Blatter grabbed her behind then. It was the Ballon d'Or I was presenting.

A Blatter spokesperson denied the incident took place, telling The Guardian, "This allegation is ridiculous".

Blatter, 81, served as Federation Internationale de Football Association president from 1998 until 2015, when he was banned by the organization over an ethics scandal that shook the sports world at the time. He has a history of making sexist comments in public. The now 81-year-old, who had his tenure come to an end amid corruption charges, in 2004 suggested women's players could wear "more feminine clothes" such as "tighter shorts".

This isn't the first time a negative light has been on Blatter regarding female players.
