The three people killed in a shooting at a Thornton Walmart Wednesday night have been identified. Two men died at the store and a woman died at a nearby hospital.

Scott Ostrem, 47, was handcuffed and bundled into a police auto on Thursday morning, 14 hours after the incident.

"You see all these things in the news and you go through it, it's scary", she said.

A video posted on Twitter showed the Walmart, which is in a large complex of big-box stores and other retail outlets adjacent to U.S. Interstate 25, apparently empty except for police officers with guns drawn.

The seemingly random shooting Wednesday in Thornton, Colorado comes a month after a gunman killed 58 people in Las Vegas, the deadliest mass shooting in recent U.S. history.

One father, whose daughter was in the store at the time of the shooting, says he just wants to find her. "She said she was going to shop at Walmart - haven't heard from her".

"We never go to this [Walmart]", he added.

Thornton Police didn't reveal any details spontaneously neither about the circumstances of the shooting nor the people who were responsible for the shooting.

David Heidt (Height) of B&M Roofing said 47-year-old Scott Ostrem worked in the company's metal fabrication shop for the last three years without any problems.
